  1. If you're looking to do some outdoor craft beer drinking, Boston is just the city to do it in. Here are some resources to help you: Wachusett to open seasonal beer garden at City Hall Plaza in May Trillium announces return to Greenway Beer Garden Complete map of Boston's Summer Beer Gardens Cheers,
  2. Hard to play favorites, and it totally depends on where you are and what you're looking for. Can't go wrong with Cambridge Brewing Company, Jack's Abby in Framingham, Notch in Salem, Fort Hill in Easthampton, Progression Brewing in Northampton, and of course Tree House & Trillium if you're a serious beer nerd, and dozens of others that have great taproom environments. Go explore and decide for yourself.
  3. If you're in downtown Boston and want to hit up three spots, I would go with Trillium, the new Night Shift location at Lovejoy Wharf, and then maybe Harpoon, which is a big beer hall on the waterfront, or Democracy brewing in Downtown Crossing. Harpoon has delicious in-house baked soft pretzels, the other three all have kitchens and sit-down dining service. You could walk between all three of these, or take a short ride share if you're not up for the exercise.
  4. With so many craft beer choices in Metro Boston, you will need to narrow down what you're looking for. In Boston proper alone there are some 12 breweries to choose from, with several more on the way in 2019. In downtown there's highly rated Trillium Brewing and its new brewery & restaurant, worker-owned Democracy Brewing which also has a restaurant, brewpubs Boston Beerworks, Cheeky Monkey, and Hopsters, and in just a couple of weeks Night Shift will open its much anticipated Lovejoy Wharf location with a restaurant and coffee shop. If you're up for a 15-minute walk, the Harpoon Beer Hall is on the waterfront. Just outside of downtown is Dorchester Brewing which has a wide variety of house brews and other brands that if contract brews and are all on tap, and Backlash Beer in Roxbury, which specializes in IPAs. A bit further out is the iconic Sam Adams Brewery and its neighbor Turtle Swamp Brewing. Across the bridge in Cambridge and Somerville, both accessible via the T or a short ride share are the critically acclaimed Cambridge Brewing Company, highly regarded newcomer Lamplighter Brewing, and community focussed Aeronaut Brewing just to name a few. There are also a number of amazing beer bars, including the world class beer program at Row 34 in the Fort Point neighborhood, Ginger Man near Faneuil Hall, The Tip Tap Room in Beacon Hill, The Public House in Brookline, Lulu's and Deep Ellum in Allston, Mead Hall and Lord Hobo in Cambridge, and several others.
